Zombie Character Movement Workshop
Every member of the Addams Family has a story to tell, and every ancestor has a movement style all their own. In this delightfully spooky paired production class, performers will become true "Dancestors" as they discover how movement brings characters to life.
Designed to complement The Addams Family Kids, this class explores the physical language of theatrical storytelling through stylized movement, expressive character work, and production-inspired choreography. Students will learn how posture, gesture, tempo, and movement create unforgettable characters while building the confidence to make bold physical choices on stage.
Throughout the rehearsal process, performers will develop movement sequences and choreography inspired by the eerie elegance, playful humor, and delightfully macabre world of the Addams Family. Through ensemble movement, character exploration, and theatrical dance, students will strengthen their stage presence while discovering how choreography can communicate story, mood, and personality without a single line of dialogue.
Whether portraying a mysterious ancestor or a beloved member of the Addams Family, students will leave each class with stronger movement technique, greater physical confidence, and a deeper understanding of character-driven performance.
